Jan De Nul is commissioning two new training simulators at its Aalst office in Belgium. The first is a crane simulator designed to support offshore wind farm installation. Modelled as a digital twin of the vessels Les Alizés and Voltaire, it allows teams to rehearse installation steps in a controlled environment.
Employees, clients and partners will use the system to reduce risk and improve operational efficiency. The company is also introducing a simulator for its cutter suction dredgers, based on the vessel Willem van Rubroeck. It enables teams to run full project simulations before deployment offshore.
